Hey A,
It’s me, A. I’m you from the future. I know it sounds a litle trippy now, but I’ve got something to tell you. Now listen up. I know you’re excelling, but unfortunately being smart at this age doesn’t make people want to play or hang out with you.
I know you’re also a lil bigger than the other kids. They call you fatty and try to bring you down. They ask you if you’re a boy or girl. They say a lot of mean, stupid stuff to you now. Kids are mean. They are one of the most vicious forms of life that exists.
I know you’re hanging out by yourself during recess and you help out teachers during your free time just so you won’t have to deal with the crap the other kids give you.
I was you. I know exactly how you feel. Don’t worry about it. These kids can’t begin to understand how amazing you are. You’re going to grow up and go to school away from these kids. High school and college will help you realize that there is nothing wrong with you. You’re going to make friends, real friends. They won’t take advantage of you just so they can get ahead in school, they won’t use you as back up. They’ll actually want to get to know you for who you are and spend time with you just because they like your company. Crazy, huh?
Remember that. There is nothing wrong with you. Nothing. You’re not a loser, people just can’t keep up. You’re not fat, just fluffy. You’re going to bring smiles and laughter into the lives of others. You’re are going to go on and do big things. You’re going to make a difference.
You’re going to be loved by so many people, you won’t know what to do with it all. I still don’t know what to do with it, but I’m thankful for it everyday.
Everything is going to be okay. Music will always be there for you. Family will be there for you. Don’t be sad that your best friends have all moved away. They will continue to move away, unfortunately, but you will make friends. Friends that will stick around.
You’re gonna be great in school. You always were. You’ll also, finally get to sing and dance in public and sometimes in front of an audience. I’ll keep when and how a secret. It’s part of the fun. You’ll even have fans. Haha yes, fans. It’s pretty amazing.
Keep your head up kid. You’re gonna be amazing.
Now you look life in the eye and tell it to bring it on coz all is on, son!
all my love,
A
